RESPONSIBILITY AND AUTHORITY
It is the responsibility of the Operation
Manager, Merchandise Manager, Planning Manager and UK Planning Manager to
ensure the implementation of this procedure.
PROCEDURE
First availability dates are agreed with
the manufacturing unit and detailed on the business Critical Path. From weekly production meetings / telephone
conversations it is understood whether or not these dates can be achieved. If the dates / Qty’s cannot be achieved the
Factory informed to UK planning Manager and customer is advised in advance and
a new flow is submitted.
As these qty’s detailed on the flow arrive
in to the warehouse, they are made available to the customer weekly. (Where
sizes are out of buying ratio factory will chase for the balance.)
Using the position to flow document stock
levels is monitored and where potential issues arise the customer is inform by UK
head office.
Fortnightly the customer may send through a backlog sheet showing their version of the contract position and where discrepancies exist between both documents, the customer is advise. This continues through the life of the style until all customer stock is sold.
Ratio control sheets are raised by the team and monitored weekly to make sure the stock is being produced to agreed ratios. Smoke Tube Boiler

Industrial Case Study
It was Saturday afternoon & like every other day we were working in our desk. We had a meeting with Kajal sir & designing team of. We had known that “Victor Rawlinson” the owner of worlds one of the most renowned importer ‘’David Howard’’, was going to visit auto group for the last time because he was retiring.
We decided
to change the whole interior of the building. We decided to make a portrait of
victor Rawlinson & change our window display. We also made a plan of
designing the banner & changing the beam decoration. We were divided into
two groups. We were two members in each group. After two days we got our budget
to buy all of our equipment. We collected everything from different places.it
was not an easy task.
We started our work. We, two members were working for the portrait & two for the window display. We started our portrait from 2:00 p.m. & it was completed at 10:00 p.m. Sometimes we worked together for window display. R&D department head helped us. We selected the street theme for our window display. We created an environment of U.K. Graffiti Street. We used some props like skate board, helmet, accessories etc. to create proper environment for the display.
The compressor itself should always be under the
supervision of a competent person who should be responsible for ensuring that
the guards for the V-belt and pulley drive are in place and also for the
regular inspection of the necessary hoses and couplings. A check must also be
made that the oil feed to the airline is properly topped up. Compressors
required adequate ventilation and special provision therefore needs to be made
when compressors have to be sited in confined areas.
Air receivers must be marked with their safe working
pressure and distinguishing number; they must also be titled with a safety
valve, pressure gauge, drain cock and manhole. Air receivers must be cleaned
and thoroughly examined at least every 26 months.
Hoses;
All compressed air hoses must be the right size for
the tool; if the bore is too small, insufficient power will be supplied. The
length of hose should be kept as short as possible: it should be kept free from
corrosive materials and leaks and protected from damage by passing traffic.
Hoses should conform to OSHA standards.
If work is to be undertaken at some distance from the Diesel Air Compressor, the safest method of ensuring efficiency is to use large bore pipe most of the way, then to fit a shut-off valve where the normal bore feed to the tool begins.
When not in use hoses must be kept clean.

Connections:
All connections of Diesel Air Compressor must be properly clamped loose connections can blow off causing the hose to whip back and cause injury. It is also dangerous to over tighten the connections because this can result in the hose being cut causing leakage and loss of power. Safety devices which restrain connectors in the event of a blow-off are available; alternatively, double lock couplers may be used.

FALLING OBJECTS
Objects of different sizes, shapes and weights often fall
from height on the construction site. Recently on the project a lot of incident
involving materials falling from height has been recorded, we must steop
materials from falling.
The major case of falling objects from height is poor
housekeeping and material arrangement. If materials are not properly arranged,
secured and kept in the work platforms, there will be continuous incident on
falling objects.
Housekeeping – It means cleaning of the work area to remove
materials that are not needed and keeping the ones needed in an orderly manner.
Materials not properly kept can drop, it can also be kicked
off, pushed, rolled or slipped off. Remember, all these are caused by human
mistakes.
- Prevention Of Falling Objects
- Practice good house keeping (clean your work area daily)
- Arrange and secure all material properly at height
- Do not over load platform with materials
- Secure all pipes, beams and other materials to prevent them from rolling off
- During lifting, be sure that the lifting materials will be able to carry the load you intend to lift without dropping the load from height.
- Ensure the load is properly hooked, tie the tag line on the load and not on the web sling, control load well, do not allow it to swing and contact other structures/materials
- Do not leave nuts, bolts and other off cuts of material on platforms and beams
- Put all nuts, bolts and other small pieces into buckets, bags or containers
- Tie down tools at height (ratchet, hammer etc) a lot of workers still work at height with tools that can fall without tying them
- Do not carry items in your pocket or hand while climbing ladders
- Do not remove toe board from platforms (they are designed to protect materials from falling).
- Do not stack too many materials at height or at the edge of platforms (scaffold pipe, pipe supports etc).

Collect Certificate of Newly Installed Boiler
For your information, a new Type Best Boilers has been installed at Auto Garments Ltd at, Dhaka is going to operate very soon. Set up the above program and keep the test result. But the certificate of boiler still not collected from the respective source. Due to unavailable of certificate the factory can not go to the operation. Besides some forthcoming social compliance audit will hold in that factory very soon. If we couldn’t show the boiler certificate to buyer it must affect in audit report. It must be used proper material to support the aluminum cable duct instead of wire. In this regards, pls arrange the certificate against the newly installed boiler at Auto Garments Ltd. so that the factory can run the boiler as they scheduled and the forthcoming audit will fare from any observation in this regards. AUTO TEXTILE has a policy to work continuously on the conservation of energy leaded by Ex-Director. Moreover the company has got a team which does it every day and submits report to MD for any mishaps. The maintenance department has a list of jobs done for the conservation of energy and the internal audit committee has got the list of works to complete to conserve the energy efficiently. IPS system may be relocated, to other location, to provide adequate and safe working space (1 meter preferably). Provisional BGMEA membership certificate of Auto Garments Ltd. has been expired on March 04, 2009. Its to be noted that it’s an important certificate what to be shown during social compliance and others audit. By this time some buyers had made schedule to audit the factory. If we can’t show the valid BGMEA membership certificate during audit we might be fall down on corrective action plan (CAP).
