Break draft of 1.14 & back zone setting of 60mm is recommended.
65 degree shore hardness for front top roller.

If top roller diameter is less by 1.5 mm from standard diameter, top roller should be changed.
Gap between front top roller & apron nip should be as low as possible (0.5 – 1mm) & if not, it generates yarn imperfections.
Bottom & top aprons should be changed at least once in 1.5 years.
It is better to use lighter travellers instead of using heavier travellers. Enough trials should be taken as traveller size depends on, speed, micronaire, humidity condition, count, ring diameter etc.
It is advisable to use Elliptical travellers for hosiery counts.
Ring travellers should be changed before 1.5% of traveller’s burn out.
Whenever there is a multiple break, ring travellers should be changed.
At any point of time, fluff accumulation on travellers should be less. Ring traveller setting should be close enough to remove waste accumulation but at same time it should not disturb traveller running.
Hairiness variation between spindles should not be high & to achieve it, travellers should be changed in time, bad workings (multiple breaks) should be avoided, rings like Titan (from Breaker) should be used, & damaged rings should be removed.
Ring frame breaks should be as low as possible (less than 10 breaks/1000 spindle hours).
Start up breaks after doffing should be less than 3 %.
Overhead cleaners is a must for processing combed cotton
Exhaust trenches should be between machines & for every 200 spindles there should be a trench.
Ring centring should be perfect. Abc rings & lappet hook centring should also be done perfectly.
If ring diameter is more than 40mm, ring centring plays a major role. If ring centring is not done properly, hairiness variation within cheese becomes very high.
Good quality spindle tapes should be used & changed for every 24 months. Spindle speed variation affects yarn strength, TPI & hairiness.

3.1. How to knit by Single Jersey Machines:
Single Jersey machines are equipped with a single cylinder around 30 inch diameter of needles that produce plain fabrics . Knit production on single jersey machines tends to be limited to 20 gauge or coarser, as these gauges can use two fold which will give spiraled free fabrics in machine. An additional feature of wool single jersey fabrics is that the fabric tend to curl inwards. This is not a problem of the fabric is in tubular form but once cut open can become so if the fabric is not finished correctly.
Sliver knitting machines are single jersey machines that have been adapted to trap a sliver of staple fiber in to the knit structure.[1]

Double jersey machines looks like single jersey machines with a dial which houses an extra set of needles installed horizontally across to the vertical cylinder needles in the system. Rubbing cloth: Take rubbing cloth at 5×5 cm size

Cut the fabric 12.5 x 12.5 cm & benchmarks should be 10 cm by using template.
Then sewn the fabric so that it can be firmly fit in to the tube a moulded polyurethane tube.
Then four tubes are placed in a box and start 60 ± 02 rev/min for at least 5 hours or according to the buyer requirements.
Then assess the pilling by putting tested specimens at the view cabinet and compare with standard photograph.

How to Knit with Flat Knitting Machines:
Sometimes referred to as Flatbeds / V beds due to the nature and arrangements of the knitting beds where two opposing needle beds are installed so that the upper ends form an inverted V. Generally needles slide up and down the beds in slots known as tricks and in this case the gauge refers to the number of needles per 1 inch.
The carriage successfully raises and lowers the needles on both beds simultaneously as it passes over them based on the desired pattern.[1]

A knitting machine like outerwear, crochet is a device used to create knitted fabrics in fully automated fashion. There are several types of knitting machines like mittens, outerwear, crochet founds ranging from simple spool or board templates with no moving parts to highly complex mechanisms controlled by electronics. However produce different types of knitted fabrics, usually either flat or tubular and of varying degrees of complexity. Knit stitches can be manipulated of the needles, or with push-buttons and dials, knitting socks, mechanical punch cards, or electronic pattern reading devices and computers. Sock knitting machine is used for knitting socks.[1]
