How to Install Colour Lab Software:

The procedure of colour lab software is given below –

  1. First connect the spectrophotometer to your computer and it is properly configured or not
  2. Correct white calibration data loaded. If you feel unsure, please contact your Datacolor Service Representative to know more about colour lab software
  3. Insert the the Datacolor Guardian CD into CDROM
  4. Then search the exe file for colour lab software
  5. Then click the Guardianlnstaller.exe
  6. Towards the end of the installation a Communication Settings Wizard will ask you how Guardian will communicate the test results. This is the data you will need to provide some information
  7. Provide contact information, this is the person to be contacted (by e-mail and phone) when Datacolor has to provide feedback.
  8. Provide company information.
  9. Provide communication type of guardian can output the test data via Mail or File Transfer (a Folder/Directory on the local hard drive or a network drive).
  10. Configure E-Mail

Instrument calibration of spectrophotometer is a function that everybody should perform on a daily basis. This schedule compensates for any changes to the instrument over time that can affect the accuracy of the measurement. You must calibrate the instrument of spectrophotometer separately for each condition you should use. This includes changes to aperture size, Specular Component Included/Specular Component Excluded settings, and reflectance/transmittance modes. For starting the calibration schedule, do the following:

  1. After selecting instrument calibration conditions, click the Calibrate button on the button bar. The Preparation for Calibration dialog box displays.
  2. Place the black trap over of the spectrophotometer the measurement port, and click the Ready button. If the instrument does not have a black standard, or black trap, click the Ready button to continue. The Prepare for Calibration window reappears when the measurement is completed.
  3. Set the white calibration tile over the measurement port of photometer and click the Ready Button located on the top.
  4. When the second measurement of tile of spectro photometer is completed, a message displays indicating the calibration was successful. Finally click Close.

Colour measurement process:

Color matching for solid dyed 100% cotton:  Color development by machine, the customers swatch usually happen on the exact type of fabric that customer will be using for bulk production. This information is noted on the lab dip requisite form.But if the exact fabric is not available to ATL lab request for the fabric is to customer through marketing. Customer either may choose to send the fabric to lab which usually delay the color development process or may permit for color developing on available fabric at ATL. In such case color development on the bulk fabric is very important before going to bulk production. Color development process on the bulk fabric is explained in laboratory general specification.Color reading for the customer swatch for obtaining base recipe or matching of customer swatch to the developed sample can be done in two ways-

Visual matching:  For obtaining a base recipe closer to the customer sample laboratory technician look for a similar shade of previous sample fabric from the reference library. The reference library consist of a reference along with varying degrees of shade with an identified variation form the reference sample such as delta equal to 0-1.0 . These sample acts as the calibration reference to the customer swatch.

Instrumental color matching procedure: A base recipe can also be found by scanning the customer swatch in data color. Here follow the detail procedure for measuring sample and obtaining data color recommended recipe specified in lab general specification.

Colour Lab Process:

The following colour labprocess is followed –

  • Dyes and auxiliaries based on the base recipe are weighted using a balance or with an electronic pipette.
  • Weighted dyes are mixed with 500 ml of water and stirred for 2 min.
  • According to the quality of the fabric padder Mathis is adjusted (usually 60% pick up). Than the sample fabric is set in the machine and dye liquor is poured in for padding.
  • The padded sample is put on a frame and than in the Mathis drying and curing machine and then set time and temperature. The sample is dried and takes from the frame.
  • Next the sample is washed based on the washing condition.
  • Than the sample is dried using an iron.
  • It is than set in the light box and inspected for colour lab matching.
  • If the colour lab match with the customer sample than the trial ends and the sample is developed; if not then the recipe id adjusted and trial is continues following the same process until a sample match happens.
  • Trial information is noted and each trial sample is attached on the lap dip worksite.

Sharp Tools Policy of Commercial Embroidery Machine Factory:

Control of sharp tools

The use of pins, staples, sharp tools and other metal products should be restricted throughout the commercial embroidery machine factory.

  • All sharp tools must be accounted for and issued to the workforce by a nominated person (e.g. supervisor of each section) with a cross reference to stock levels of that particular tool to ensure full traceability at all times.
  • A ‘One in, one out’ distribution system must be established to minimise the loss of tools, potential injury to employee’s and the risk of tools being boxed in cartons and shipped and or lost in product presentation boxes and or pockets or lining of product.
  • All sharp tools must be handed out to the workers by a nominated person at the beginning of each shift and must be collected at the end of each shift. Counted and signed for by the nominated person/supervisor in charge.
  • Kimbal/Tag guns should be individually numbered and/or named per worker.
  • This distribution system must be recorded (s. attached daily in/out log), detailing workers names, their signature and numbers of tool issued/returned and records must be kept for a minimum of 3 years from shipment date in case of a legal claim.
  • All tools of commercial embroidery machine factory must be securely attached to the workstation (machines, tables, benches and inspection areas) by cord as possible to tool type, but holes can be drilled through wooden handles and location and condition must be verified daily.
  • Scissors and clippers can be left permanently at work stations and sewing machines, providing they are secured and cannot be removed by the operator.
  • Scissors and clippers must NOT be worn around the neck or wrist as this is a safety hazard for the employee’s in case they trip and injure themselves.
  • There must be a documented control system for the issuing and collecting of scissors and clippers.
  • The employees must not remove their tools at break, lunch or dinner times in order to avoid them becoming lost or leaving the factory premises.
  • The floor supervisor must check at least twice a day that they have not been removed without permission and keep a record of how many pairs have been issued, as per the count in/out log process.
  • Any blades or other sharp cutting tools are NOT to be used within the factory floor. Snap blades are not permitted as they can break easily, cause injury and get lost in product, packaging and or cartons. They may also cause damage to product, injure employee’s working in our customer’s warehouses, stores or a customer.
  • It is the supervisor’s responsibility to remove any such items from the workers immediately if found.
  • Metal must not be used as sewing guides and or templates for pressing around to manage a shape, e.g. pockets. If guides are required thick card and or plastic should be used. Cut thin metal can cause injury, split and break off into a small piece and become lost in product, packaging and or cartons, which may damage a product: or injure employees at our customer’s warehouse, stores or a customer.
  • Any small metal waste including cutting blades must be controlled by using specific sharps boxes for storage and disposal. The self locking and sealable containers are made of plastic, so that the sharps waste cannot easily penetrate through the sides. The unit is designed so that the whole container can be disposed of with other biohazardous waste. Single use sharps contain of various sizes are sold throughout the world. These are coloured red and labelled for biohazardous sharps waste.
  • The use of pins is not acceptable in any products of Buyers and should be avoided throughout the factory (incl. sample room, cutting, sewing, inspection, packaging or any other areas where garments/components are being handled).
  • Avoid using pins for laymarker attaching, to cover collar points of light colour collars with fabric cuttings or marking faults etc. Please find alternative material options, e.g. using weights for the laymarker attach, plastic clips when covering collar points, marking faults with stickers or tie the affected area into a knot etc.
  • Where pins are used in packaging for other customers this must be done in a separate area quarantined from any other production and the issue of pins must be controlled.
  • Pins/staples must not be used to assemble cartons.
  • Suppliers who manufacture of commercial embroidery machine ties are permitted to use pins during make-up.  However they must follow the broken needle control, control of hand sewing needles and metal detection policy.
  • The use of staples should be avoided in the factory environment. This includes on incoming goods, cutting room, sample room, packing or on any paperwork     used on the factory floor.
  • Threading wires should be kept by the mechanic and if they are needed by the worker again they should be kept in a controlled environment and counted in and out at the beginning and end of a working day by a nominated person.
  • Machinists must not be allowed to keep screw drivers or any other tool for altering machine settings in their machine draws, these must be kept at all times by the mechanic and or supervisor in charge authorised to amend machine settings.
  • Tools collected at the end of the day and spare parts should always be kept away from the factory floor in a safe and secure environment, i.e. locked away in designated cupboards which only the nominated person/supervisor has access to. The record log of tool issue should be kept in the designated cupboard.
  • It is the supplier’s responsibility to ensure this policy is applied to embroidery, appliqué, printing etc. operations whether in house or at another site.

Objective: The objective of this policy is to have a clear guide line on how the company will take care of its operation so that the Greenhouse Gas Emission could be prevented or kept at possible lowest level.

Basis: To comply with the Environmental Law of Bangladesh and also to save and protect the surrounding environment for the future generation, it requires adopting some rules and regulations and practice them. That’s why the policy has been prepared through which we will be able to take care of this matter.

Policy: The company will make the list of its operation and sort out which of those can cause greenhouse gas emission.

  • Machineries and operations which emit less or no greenhouse gas will be switched to or brought into use gradually to ensure healthier environment.
  • Company will use only such vehicles that have been converted to gas operation
  • Company will also use gas operated boilers in all of its factories
  • To make healthier surrounding tree plantation program will be arranged by the Auto Group both inside and out of its premises.

Regulations and Procedures: The machineries that can emit such gases will be gone through rigorous maintenance process to reduce the emission.

  • Operations that can emit such gases will be upgraded or switched to modified processes through consulting with the specialists.
  • There will be environmental specialists who will check emission levels and report on them.

Responsible Parties: Environmental Health & Safety Officers (EHS Officers) will be responsible for implementing this policy. Besides the EHS Officers other departments like Maintenance, Compliance and Welfare Departments will be also responsible for executing this policy.

Exceptions: There will be no exception of this policy unless, switching to machineries and processes requires too much investment which might hamper the financial stability of the business.

Communication & Implementation: Policy will be published in the policy book and circulated among all the department heads and section heads. Policies will be written in employee hand book, which is provided. Regular counseling and training program will also be done through microphone and policies may also be put up in different notice boards

How Speed Frame / Roving Frame Yarn Spinning Machine Works

Speed Frame / Roving Frame:

Speed frame and roving frame machine is very similar. Roving frame is a textile machine is used in spinning to build roving. Based on the various types of fiberthe thickness of the roving.  These machines may varying in the working principle of the drafting devices, the dimensions of the flyers, spindles, and bobbins & the method of forming the roving High precision CCD of roving frame can detect the roving tension and feed back it to PLC for adjusting with the setting value ,then can get the best technical curve and realize the constant tension. It is the pre process of Ring Spinning Machine.

The four inverters of yarn spinning machine  can obtain the position signal of Flyer inverter and track the position synchronously, which to realize the reliable control of roving tension.

Technical Specification of Computerized Roving Machine :

Safety protection : The high power and low power  of computerized roving machine is separately distributed in the electric cabinet so reduce the disturbance. The three-phase motor utilizes the contactor + heat relay structure to avoid over-load short circuit.

CCD technical optimization : We have’ CD hardware and software design patent. CCD can check roving machine position and feedback data to PLC .then realize the optimization and memory of concerning process to make constant tension spinning.

ATM network interface : A TM network interface of computerized roving frame  is supplied to make a network of all the machines.

Intellectual alarm: Points distribution automatic alarming system of computerized roving frame  is utilized to register and record the alarming information. It has the advantages of wide-range alarm and showing accurate faults position. It can give detailed  diagnosis to the problem of the machine according to the historic alarm record.

Soft start function :The machine allows frequent inching operation to adjust the flyer angle when repiece the roving. It also has the function of fixed flyer position stop, spinning tops thus if the machine stop, the flyer can reach designated angle that make the doffing easy.

Anti-fineness function : When the machine starts or stops, the roving is easy to become thin at the twist cap position. We adjust the anti-fineness ratio to make the roving loose when machine starts or stops, so that the resistance is reduced to eliminate fineness.

Package rectification :Since the inertia of rail lift and down, the roving package shoulder is always become uneven. The machine can eliminate the unevenness by adjusting the rectification ratio.

Power off protection :No need to use storage battery or condenser. When the power off, the inverter can check the power off signal and use the inertia energy to make the motors stop steadily and synchronously to avoid fineness for spinning tops

Doffing at fixed roving length and position : Through the automatic counting of the computer to guarantee the arrival of the rail to the doffing location at the fixed roving length in order to guarantee the deviation of every doff within one meter.

Doff repiece length :Due to different roving machine type or other reason and spinning tops  the doffrepiece length is always too short. The machine can realize optimum repiece length through adjust doff repiece length ratio.

Extra twist system : When spin long fiber low twist roving, the breakage is easy occur at upper part of presser. Then the roving twist can be increased in doffing through setting such parameters to promote the roving strength in flyer path. The extra twist system guarantee the doffing breakage of the low twist fiber at presser position so as to improve the efficiency of doffing.

Fast reversing : The inverter can control the reverse of rail motor by utilizing corotation prior method to eliminate “stop” time at the time of reversing. In addition, the rail is drived by 3.0KW motor so that the reversing sen itivity is al 0 promoted and the temperature increasing time is shortened to prolong the service life of motor.

Bobbin drag prevention function : When begin to wind a new bobbin, the flyer speed is high but the bobbin weight is low, the bobbin is easy to be dragged by flyer. The winding speed can be reduced when rail reversing through setting such parameter to eliminate bobbin drag.

4-roller dual short apron drafting CNC Machine :

4-roller dual short apron drafting  cnc machine  is developed on the base of 3-roller dual short apron drafting. A collecting roller is added in the front and consists of a collecting area. Cnc machine  shift the collector into collecting area and make the drafting and collecting separate so as there is no collection in drafting area and no drafting in collection area.

Since the collector is moved ahead, the length of roaming area is decteased, thus improve the roving quality. Chinese YI series drafting, German Suessen weighting arm, German TEXPARTS drafting is option.

Speed Frame Feature

  • Total draft should be around 10 for 4 over 4 drafting system.
  • Better to use floating condenser in front zone to reduce hairiness & diameter of roving.
  • Cots buffing should be done once in 2 months. Top roller run out to be checked & it should be nil. There should not be any compromise on top roller quality as it’s cost is negligible with compare to ring frame.
  • If possible it should be treated with surface treatment like treatment with Liqimix or treated with acid to reduce top clearer waste which is caused by top roller surface.
  • Twist Multiplier should be high enough to reduce stretch in Ring frame. Higher the T.M lower the classimat “H1” faults
  • If single speed for flyer is used, it is advisable to run less than 1000 rpm.
  • When speed frame bobbin is full, flyer speed should be less than 1000rpm. Otherwise surface cuts increase & thin places also increase.
  • False twisters should be changed once in 2 years. Variations in false twisters result in high count C.V%.
  • Roving tension should be as low & uniform as possible. The higher the roving tension, the higher the count C.V% & the more the thin places.
  • Density of all roving bobbins should be same. The higher the variation, the higher the count C.V%.
  • Break draft should be around 1.18 to 1.24 depending on type of drafting system & total draft.
  • Roving hank should be decided in such a way that ring frame draft is around 20-34 for different counts.
  • No sliver piecing or roving piecing from speed frame should be worked in Ring frame. All sliver piecing & roving piecing result in thin/thick yarn. Some times it is cut by clearer, but all yarn faults created by piecings are not cut by clearers.

Roller Transmission Parts of Speed Frame :

The helical gear of roller transmission of speed frame machine is made of high quality steel. The gear is grinded after high-frequency quenching so it has high precision and its transmission is steady.

Cleaning Speedframe Device:

The cleaning system of Speedframe  machine utilizes active rotation cloth up and bottom roller clearer, traveling clearer and suction air passage. The fly on surface and waste from bottom clearer is blew to the suction air passage then be sucked away.

The traveling clearer sucks the waster on the cover of top clearer so that avoid the waste being wrapped into the roving. It can prevent the speedframe defect and reduce the labor of operators.

Feed device of Single Speed Frame:

The sliver feed device of speed frame uses overhead sliver guide. Aluminum alloy guide roller, static electricity painting guide roller and stainless steel guide roller are optional. The sliver guide and separator of single speed frame is made of cast plastic, smooth in surface. We can design different layout of sliver guide rollers according to the diameter of buyer’s sliver cans.
