- Oversee the front end process which is designed to ascertain the production feasibility of new product launches and there by recommend & follow up respective preventive measures, in order to secure the products at bulk production.
- Nominated QA factory personal for nike, Columbia, lululemon and hence ensures that all the customer standards are properly maintained throughout the manufacturing processes.
- Support the process owners to upgrade, implement & maintain ISO standards & procedures across the value chain playing the ISO coordinator/auditor role in the company.
- Implement Lean tools & techniques at the QA departmental activities with the QA team.
- Oversee the sample preparation process of new product launches and hence ensure the samples are true representations of the bulk and get them approved before proceed with the bulk productions / shipments.
- Oversee the knitting QA area to achieve the customer requirement to get the fabric right first time.
- # Handle the workforce at fabric inspection to filter the good fabric from the rejects and find out the root cause analysis for the rejects while achieving the fabric delivery dates.
- Having worked in a vertically integrated production process, at Linea Intimo, I have a greater exposure on areas such as marketing, Design & development, Logistics, Fabric Knitting/ Dying/ Sewing, Industrial Engineering, ERP systems, Fabric testing etc and it helps me on making more rational decisions on maintaining Quality Management systems.
- Knowledge on process improvement practices, tools & techniques coupled with the knowledge on Lean/six sigma & ISO.
- Strong Analytical skills developed through engineering education make the problem solving more pragmatic.
- Exposure to the cut & sew production plant, gained during the stay at Winterquilts group. Have greatly involved with the process improvement activities and strategy formulations.
- To make sure the testing process pertaining to each customer, is done correctly up to the standards and timely publish the results for process controlling purposes.
- # Getting the exposure to & understanding of all the fabric & garment form tests prescribed by the customer and maintain the expected standards throughout the value stream.

- Empowerment and involved in doing Technical evaluations for new Factories.
- Gathering information From HUB office on the orders Placed in Sri Lanka.
- And coordinate with Hub / Vendor / fty until the Shipment.
- Conducting Effective Pre Production meetings with factories & monitoring the production from the beginning to the shipment.
- Analyzing fty process systems and giving solution to improve on weak areas. To prevent issues in first place.
- Conducting Quality inspections as inline, Pre final & final inspection. & Updating merchants accordingly
- Training on working procedures, inspection procedures, standards, Product safety procedures & Basic Compliance standards
- ( Have a good knowledge in Product safety Procedures)
- Training In house QA’s and Implementing In house QA programs with the Vendors/Factory’s.
- Improve and Maintain Very good quality garments and ship on time.
- Increase the Accuracy of all sample stage and meet the deadlines
- Train and develop QC’s on there working process and guide them in their day to day work.
- Implement Product safety requirement in the fty’s.
- Preparing Monthly reports to Fty’s and Buyer. And we hold the meeting with fty’s how to improve on their performance and our QC’s
